VISION
We commit to providing quality Christian programming for church and community member families, to encourage and equip parents with tools and resources to help them be the primary spiritual influencers in their homes, and we commit to engage our kids with God’s truths through relevant Bible teaching, music, small group discussion, large group worship, and age-appropriate activities.
ABOUT
Children and Family ministry serves children from birth through fourth grade through Sunday School, weekly programs and family events held throughout the year. All children, including those who have special developmental and/or health challenges are welcome.
The annual highlight of Children and Family Ministry is Vacation Bible School, a four-day experience with worship, Bible stories, games, crafts, and recreation held the first week of June.
We partner with other ministries of Peachtree Church to host events such as the Father Daughter Dance, Spring Celebration Spaghetti Supper, the Pumpkin Patch, Popcorn Party with the Pastor, Easter Egg Hunt at Chastain Park, Family Advent celebration and The Christmas Eve pageant.
SUNDAY MORNING
Worshipping with your child(ren)
Children are welcome participants in all Sunday morning worship services.
When needed, families can participate in the services remotely from the Williams Center or the Nursing Mothers suite. The service is broadcast on television monitors in each space.
Children’s bulletins, intended to help children follow along with the service, are available in worship bags, which include activities to help quietly hold children’s interest for the duration of the service. Children’s picture books are also available to borrow. These can be found at the rear of the sanctuary in the Narthex and just outside the North Transept doors. Please have your child(ren) take a bag and/or a book into service and then return.
Three year-olds through fourth graders attend worship with their families for the first part of the 8:45 and 11:15 services. About 15-20 minutes into service, the pastor will call the children forward and they will be escorted by ministry staff to their appropriate spaces.
The 10:00 service hour is our full Sunday School programming.

OUR COMMITMENTS TO YOU
A Welcoming Environment
If you are new to Peachtree, we invite you to come to the Family Commons on Sunday mornings. Our staff and volunteers will be there to guide you. We'll help you get your child checked in, give you a tour, and walk with you to their room.
A Safe Environment
Peachtree creates a safe and secure environment for each child. All volunteers and leaders are carefully screened and supervised. A secure check- in process provides parents the assurance that their child is safe and being well-cared for during Sunday services.
For children needing assistance because of a developmental or physical challenge, we work with parents to understand each child's needs and provide a one-to-one volunteer for their child. Our goal is to help every child fully participate on Sundays.
An Age-appropriate Environment
Peachtree has developed age-appropriate environments where your child will experience God’s love and learn His truths in a program designed especially for them. As the children grow, our team works closely with the Student Ministry Team to prepare children for student life, which begins with Fifty6, the fifth and sixth grade program.
A promising future
As children learn biblical truths and experience God’s love both at home and at church, the message of His love for them is reinforced, giving each child an opportunity to move into the future with a solid faith foundation. Thank you for the privilege of partnering with you to help your child develop a faith that sticks!
